The End Story

The End
From The End’s explosive launch in 1995, when it changed the face of clubbing with an uncompromising attitude, a state of the art interior, and a killer sound-system, to its position today as one of the world’s best-loved clubs delivering the finest music, The End has established itself as a true London landmark with a forward-thinking attitude. Founded and part-owned by friends and club residents Mr C and Layo Paskin – part of DJ / production duo Layo & Bushwacka! -The End has always been a forerunner in its field. Playing host to seminal club nights such as Full Cycle, Twice As Nice and Subterrain, it was the first to host cutting-edge music in a state of the art venue, and the first to introduce the DJ bar to the UK via sister bar AKA. Until 2009 it continued to be a pioneer, consistently innovating its programming and remaining the only central London venue of its size to bring quality electronic music to the capital all week round, with a stellar line up of nights, including Bugged Out!, Border Community, Circo Loco, Buzzin Fly and Ram Records as well as residencies from some of the world’s most renowned and talented DJs, including legends such as Laurent Garnier, Sven Vath, Fabio and DJ Marky.

To celebrate its 10th birthday, The End distilled its energy into a special programme which included an ongoing fundraising project- The End Studios, the Explore Festival - a special anniversary showcase for the club’s best loved weekly nights, The End Biography, a beautifully illustrated one-off publication celebrating the club, and Exhibitionism, a visual retrospective celebrating the sights and sounds of The End. Thirteen years on, after inspiring legions of music lovers everywhere, The End says goodbye baby to London with two months of celebration, happy memories and just a few tears.
